Welcome to https://mentalmajesty.ca ("we," "us," "our," "Mental Majesty"). By using the Site, booking a session, or purchasing a course, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. About Our Services

We offer two types of services through this Site:

Booking of online and in-person psychotherapy sessions with Bahareh Babaei, a [Registered Psychotherapist / applicable designation] registered with the [College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario / applicable college], Registration No. [Number].
Self-directed online courses on psychoanalysis, intended for educational & professional development purposes.

2. Not a Crisis or Emergency Service

Our services, including online booking and online courses, are not intended for emergencies or crisis situations.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or thoughts of harming yourself or others, please:

Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room, or
Contact a crisis line such as Talk Suicide Canada (1-833-456-4566, available 24/7) or your local crisis service.

We may be unable to respond immediately to messages sent through the Site, email, or booking system.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority in Ontario (18) to book services or purchase a course on your own behalf. If you are booking therapy services for a minor, you must be their parent or legal guardian and provide any consent required by law and by our clinical intake process.

4. Booking, Rescheduling, and Cancellation

Appointments can be booked through our online booking system.
Cancellation/rescheduling notice: We require at least [24/48] hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session without charge.
Late cancellation or no-show fee: Sessions cancelled with less notice, or missed without notice, may be subject to a fee of 100% of session fee.
We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a session with reasonable notice in the event of illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, and will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative time.

5. Fees and Payment

Current session fees and course prices are listed on the Site and may be updated from time to time; the price in effect at the time of booking or purchase applies.
Payment is processed securely through Wix Payments / Stripe / PayPal. We do not store your full payment card details.

All fees are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.

6. Online Therapy Sessions

Online sessions are conducted via Google Meet, consistent with professional regulatory requirements.
You are responsible for ensuring a private, confidential location and a stable internet connection for online sessions.
While reasonable security measures are used, no online communication method is entirely free of risk.

7. Confidentiality

Information shared during therapy sessions is confidential and protected under Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act and our professional and ethical obligations, subject to limited exceptions required or permitted by law, including but not limited to:

Risk of serious harm to yourself or another identifiable person
Suspected abuse or neglect of a child
A court order or legal requirement to disclose
Mandatory reporting obligations under professional regulatory standards

8. Online Courses

Courses are provided for educational purposes only and do not constitute therapy, a therapeutic relationship, clinical supervision, or professional advice.
Upon purchase, you receive a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access the course content for personal use. You may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, publicly share, or create derivative works from course materials without our prior written consent.
Access: Lifetime Access
Refunds: Refunds are NOT AVAILABLE for online courses and All course sales are final.
We may update or modify course content from time to time.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site and within our courses — including text, graphics, logos, course materials, and videos — is owned by or licensed to Mental Majesty and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our prior written permission.

10. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Therapy is a collaborative process, and outcomes vary by individual. We do not guarantee any specific result from therapy sessions or course completion. Course content is provided for educational purposes and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional clinical training, supervision, or therapy.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, [Business Legal Name] and Bahareh Babaei will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, booking system, or online courses, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law (including liability arising from professional negligence, which remains governed by applicable professional standards and regulations).

12. Third-Party Services

Our Site relies on third-party platforms (e.g., Wix for hosting, Payment Processors, Google Meet) to deliver our services. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or issues caused by these third-party providers, though we will make reasonable efforts to address any disruption to your care.

13. Termination of Services

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services to any individual where appropriate, in accordance with professional and ethical standards, including providing reasonable notice and, where appropriate, referral information.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
